Château de Gensac

Château de Gensac is a historic winery in the Gascony region of Southwest France. The chateau dates back to the 13th century and vines have been cultivated for more than 600 years. The estate is famous for the production of wine and Armangac.

A variety of grape types are grown here and these are handpicked to create high quality wines. Both red and white wines are produced, made from the likes of Merlot, Tannat, Semillon and Colombard – to name a few varieties.

Armangac is France’s oldest spirit and Château de Gensac continues to make it to traditional methods – but for modern palates. It’s single-distilled and aged in French oak barrels. Their range includes 10 year old, 15 year old and 20 year old Armagnacs. They also offer a limited edition 12 year old double cask, which has been finished in Caol Ila barrels and gives the spirit a hit of spice and smoke.
