Chartreuse Green

Chartreuse Green is considered to be one of the most famous and distinctive liqueurs in the world, a French herbal liqueur that has been produced since the 18th century by the Carthusian monks in the Chartreuse Mountains near Grenoble, France. The recipe for Chartreuse Green is a closely guarded secret known only to a few monks, who use a blend of 130 different herbs, plants, and flowers to create the distinctive flavour and bright green colour of the liqueur. It has a complex and slightly bitter taste, with flavours of herbs, spices, and flowers, bottled at 55% ABV.
