Eminente presents this Gran Reserva rum, crafted from molasses, the aguardiente is distilled to a potent 75% ABV and initially aged in white oak barrels that previously held whisky. It's then expertly blended with a traditional, lighter rum distilled to an impressive 95% ABV. The inaugural edition of Eminente Gran Reserva features this 10-year-old rum, which is further refined with a three-month stint in French oak barrels housed in a dry cellar. In this environment, water evaporates more rapidly than alcohol, resulting in the notably high 43.5% ABV of the final product. A truly elegant rum.
