Lochlea 6 Year Old 2018 Vintage Release

Located on a working Ayrshire farm, Lochlea Distillery is steeped in history and tradition. Once home to Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns, the distillery has been producing single malts since 2018, using locally grown barley and pure farm-sourced water. This age statement release marks an exciting milestone for the independent Lowland distillery, as it is the first release under the guidance of new master blender Jill Boyd, who joined the team in late 2024. Boyd, alongside distillery manager Darren McCormick, carefully selected six casks, all filled in 2018— to craft this remarkable expression. The whisky is a combination of three bourbon barrels and three oloroso sherry casks, resulting in a harmonious balance of sweetness, creaminess, and complexity.

With only 2,500 bottles released globally, this six year old whisky is a rare and limited expression and is presented with all-natural colour and no chill-filtration.
