These releases all give light to events and people in Balvenie's past and present - this bottling takes inspiration from apprentice Kelsey McKechnie and her idea to import virgin oak barrels from Kentucky and deeply charred them at the distilleries cooperage. This process contributes a beautiful sweetness and toasted oak character to the whisky, adding depth and complexity to its flavour profile.

An enjoyable malt I felt I should be in front of a roaring fire . Taken on the rocks definitely buy again maybe a little strong for me but a wonderful flavour full ,lingered afterwards definitely one to keep for oneself .
