The Russell Family Cask is a Glengoyne Single Cask personally selected by the 3 generations of the IMD owners – Peter, Leonard and Tom. This 36yo Refill Sherry Butt is decadent and rewarding with a long finish showing the cask and spirit in harmony after over 36 years in Glengoyne's warehouses. A very limited release of only 402 bottles of one of Glengoyne’s oldest whiskies ever released.
Following a very enjoyable Sunday lunch at Peter Russell’s house, Tom produced some Glengoyne Single Cask samples for the family to try. This specific cask number 1549 stood out as being of absolute remarkable quality. It is the only cask the three generations of the Russell’s have unanimously chosen to bottle and celebrates three generations of Russell’s working together in the business.
