Nestled at the edge of the Highlands, Glengoyne Distillery has been producing whisky with time-honoured techniques since its establishment in 1833. Renowned for distilling slower than any other in Scotland, their process extracts the purest flavours, as clearly reflected in this exquisite expression. This unique release has matured in a combination of first fill Bourbon and virgin American Oak casks, which contribute to its vibrant and complex character. Presented at 48% abv, this White Oak release is presented without chill-filtration and all natural colour.

Tasting Notes

Nose

The initial aroma is a celebration of oak's vitality, intertwined with creamy vanilla and the zest of bright citrus. Layers of sponge cake and crisp red apple merge with the warmth of ginger spice, complemented by subtle notes of unripe banana and a delicate violet whisper.

Palate

A soft, playful entry transitions into a rich tapestry of flavours, featuring the indulgent sweetness of crème brulee and fruit gum sweets. Candied lemon zest dances alongside the comforting taste of jam tarts and the tropical burst of tinned pineapple.
