Meikle Toir, which translates to 'big pursuit', is a line of peated whisky made at the Glenallachie distillery under the expertise of master distiller Billy Walker. This flagship release is matured using a mix of former bourbon and rye casks, as well as fresh American oak. Created with peat from St. Fergus on the mainland, which is sweeter and grassier than the coastal variety. The barley was peated to 35ppm. It was bottled at 50% ABV without chill-filtration or added colouring.
