Talisker Magma 47 Year Old

PRE-ORDER: Shipping week commencing 13th April.

Matured initially in refill American oak hogsheads, this Talisker was given a distinctive finish in new American oak casks toasted using volcanic rocks from the Isle of Skye. Rather than relying on a traditional open flame, the rocks are heated and the casks rotated around them, allowing the wood to toast evenly without direct contact. A gentle steaming process keeps the cask hydrated and the temperature precisely controlled throughout.

This innovative approach coaxes out greater fruit character while building impressive depth and complexity. The result is a bold coastal single malt, balancing sweet smoke, mineral salinity and warming spice in a style that feels unmistakably Talisker.
