Michter's

Michter’s is an American bourbon with a rich and turbulent history. It was originally founded in Pennsylvania as Shenk’s distillery in 1753, before becoming Bomberger’s, and then Michter’s in the mid-20th century. Now based in Louisville, Kentucky, it’s known for producing quality small batch expressions.

The distillery produces an extensive range of bourbon and rye whiskies. Grains are sourced from a handful of US farmers and the spirit matured in charred white oak barrels – which infuses the whiskey with notes of vanilla, wood and spice.

Michter’s US*1 Bourbon is the brand’s flagship bottling. This is a smooth American whiskey, that’s been taken from 24 barrels, aged for up to eight years. They also produce sour mash, rye, and barrel strength offerings.
