Lowland Whisky

Shop the selection of Lowland whisky at House of Malt, the UK’s number one independent single malt whisky specialists. Whiskies from this region are known for their lighter flavour profile and, while the Lowlands are mainly known for their blended whiskies, the likes of Bladnoch, Daftmill, and Rosebank are setting the bar for single malt production in the region.

The Lowlands is one of the largest regions of Scotland, second only to the Highlands, stretching from the Scottish borders to the Kingdom of Fife and across to Glasgow. This region actually produces the largest volume of scotch whisky out of all the regions of production.

Lowland distilleries are known to produce lighter whiskies, triple-distilled for a gentler flavour. Spirits from this region are less peaty and robust than island and Islay whiskies, with a similar flavour profile to those produced in the Highlands, Speyside, and Campbeltown. Enjoy sweet notes of cinnamon and toffee, with spicy ginger and slight grassy undertones.

We’re proud to provide you with an incredibly large selection of fine scotch whisky from some of the best distilleries in Scotland. We even stock varieties from independent bottlers, so you’re sure to find something new to discover.
