Ardbeg Heavy Vapours

Here we have a very interesting release from Islay's Ardbeg distillery, this is 'Heavy Vapours'. With this experimental release, Ardbeg decided to remove the purifier during distillation. The purifier is a copper pot that captures the the heaviest vapours during distillation and condenses them back into liquid (called reflux). The purifier keeps Ardbeg distillation well-balanced so there is a harmony of delicate fruit flavour and subtle peat. Well not this time, the removal of this process has created the most powerful and intense Ardbeg ever.
